  • TigerBaby Coffee and Clay (977 College St.)
TigerBaby is Toronto’s very first coffee shop and pottery studio, now located within College Promenade! We’re thrilled that TigerBaby decided to make College Promenade their new home.

Famous for their coffee and treats throughout Toronto, Dark Horse brings excellence to College Promenade with their new College location.

  • Cake Your Way (825 College St.)
Our newest business officially opened on Friday, August 28th: welcome to Cake Your Way! This bakery is bringing excellent cakes, cookie pies and more from Vaughan to their newest location on College Promenade!

College Promenade Historical Tours 2026

On July 4th and August 2nd, College Promenade hosted over 60 attendees to HeritageTO’s Party on the Promenade Tour, led by emerging historian Claire Jansen-Faught, an incoming PHD candidate at the University of Edinburgh.

The tour touched on historical buildings throughout the neighbourhood, including the West End YMCA, the Matador Club, Art Metropole, and more! The tours brought many new visitors into College Promenade, and encouraged attendees to explore the area.

New A-Frame Bylaws 
The City of Toronto has created some *new* bylaws regarding A-Frame signs. 
​
​Starting June 3, 2024:
  • Existing requirement for a 2.1-metres pedestrian clearway on sidewalks will be maintained, and expanded to 2.5 metres on certain downtown Toronto streets.
  • Signs must be placed beside the curb and in-line with other street furniture, where possible (instead of close to the building).
  • There are new rules on minimum separation distances between signs and street furniture and utilities.

Land Acknowledgement
The City of Toronto acknowledges that what we now call Toronto is on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. The City also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
